Plums, blackberry, crushed rocks and violets on the nose. Complex flavors of black and blue fruit, mocha, spice and a 30-second finish filled with minerality and black cherry fruit

Another stunning wine from Hundred Acre. Best if decanted for at least 3 hours. Wonderful aromas of black cherry, violets, black raspberry, graphite and licorice. Big black fruit on the palate with a complexity found in most Hundred Acre wines. Grippy tannins that led the way to a 30-second finish.

Nose- very discreet, dark, berries, cigar wrapper. Not as complex but still quite nice. Nose- minty, dark berries, chocolate, velvety tannins, medium acidity, impeccable balance. Very seductive. A touch young. Wow! Improved dramatically after an hour or so. A few more years and I may rate this higher.

My goodness what a difference two years can make. This wine seemed awkward and light about two years ago (10/20 - 93 points), but now it has become integrated and downright elegant. Light red in color and medium in body, the wine offers floral stains of sour cherry, rose petals, and fresh raspberry. The flavors are similarly nimble, with notes of blueberry, dried strawberry, trail dust, and rhuvarb, with a lifted and elegant finish. 15.5% alcohol. This has hit a remarkable stride, and I think it should be even better in a few years. Whether it was bottle variation, bottle age, mood back then, this wine has become remarkable now.
