Yes, "burgundian" is an overused term, but this fine little wine definitely has that cherries-in-a-barnyard smell and a medium bodied palate (cherries again) with impressive acidic lift and a nice zing of spice. It also has a lovely, slightly bitter note of orange peel. Delicate, elegant tannic structure. Interestingly, the finish sits either upfront or toward the back; I wouldn't go so far as to say there's a hole at the midpalate, but the finish is less present there than elsewhere. Still, this is a wine of real character. 100% estate fruit matured in very little (15%) new oak.

Another excellent bottle Lovely earthy fruit, with lots of Pinot flavors. Didn't take detailed notes.
