Popped and poured. This has aged really gracefully. Quite reminiscent of a classic CDP with a little California ripeness evident. Raspberry, black cherry, herbs and smoke come through. Medium bodied, interesting and complex. I would drink this over the next few years.

Holding up well, probably on a slight decline. Stewed red fruits, some good funk, very smooth. Fruits seem to have faded a bit. I'd be drinking over the next year or two.

Very fragrant at first opening. Taking on bricky color at this age. After 2 hour open to air, a big spicy nose turns into gobs of cinnamon spiced baked pie cherry flavors that are very rich and smooth. Some chinese five-spic too but overall less red fruit and more rich spice in the mouth. Great finish. It will probably hold but I think its at its peak and should be drunk now or it will just become lighter and thinner. Same for larger formats, enjoy now IMO

Pnp. MCLANEW’s notes below are spot on. Still going strong two hours after opening, this is fully mature but not at all over the hill.

This aged surprisingly well - we lost track of it and didn’t expect to hold it so long. It is vibrant and complex even after 16 years.
