An amazing bottle, just keeps getting better and better, gaining depth and complexity year after year. This demonstrates why Craig Jaffurs (at while he still owned and operated the winery) has been called time and again the "master of California Syrah". All culled from great vineyards and made with a Midas touch. Really showcases both the fruit and care in the winery. Sadly, our last bottle of this vintage and vineyard.
This is a mighty fine wine. It's in a really good place right now, but I will let my last bottle rest for another year as there is just a wee bit of tannin left to be resolved. Great vintage.

Dark Blue and purple fruits. Hint of tartness on the finish, good acid balance. This bottle would have continued to improve. No hurry.

Seemed somewhat more ripe than previous bottles. Enjoyable, but seems to be rounding off, heading toward the backend of the drinking window.

Prime time. Savory, characteristic cool climate Syrah notes. Classic Jaffurs. Drink or hold.
