A good showing this time; like a lottery within a wooden case. Cork still in poor condition, mid-upper shoulder. After a moment of doubt, I finally had a bottle without TCA. Classic Graves from an average vintage, but Domaine de Chevalier always seems to over-perform those years. Still remnants of fruit, a minty side, the balance is excellent; clearly on the lighter side. Not herbaceous, somewhat reminiscent of a Martha's vineyard...tobacco, cigar box, cedar, mushroom all neatly wrapped up in a package of 12.5 % alc. Perhaps best served with cheese. Drink soon.

This wine is still holding on... Cork was a bit loose but came out in one piece. High shoulder fill. Not decanted. Clearly on the evolved side but a very enjoyable wine with dinner. The balance, moderate alcohol, earthiness and cigarbox aromas makes it really enjoyable. Drink soon though.
