At home in San Fran. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colur with garnet edge. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of horse saddle leather, dried red plums, dark red cherries, earth, rocky minerality. Developed. On the palate, dry, high acidity, high alcohol (14.7%), resolved smooth velvety tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark red cherries, red plums, black cherries, black pepper spice, old leather, earth. Bits of dark cola with more air. Long finish. Very good quality. Very smooth elegant Carneros Pinot at peak now. High alcohol not that apparent. Time to drink up and enjoy.

Fifteen years in and now a bunch of complexity-augmenting tertiary nuances add to the beauty of the bounty of the remaining sweetfruit and winter spice. A plush box that contains its alcohol well. Silky and viscous without being too weighty. Though this becomes soft with air, it's not in any way over the hill. The sweet, long aftertaste is like the memory of a cordial. Some of its oscillations thud, but mostly a pretty stunning wine.

Still drinking nicely. Even but after in glass for 30 minutes. We didn't decant. Lots of fruit and spice. Doubt it will get much better but drinking great now.

Savory Pinot. Not a lot f development for a 12 year old. Paired well with Charles Linguine with spiced Lobste.
