Ordered at Dulces tonight for my wife's birthday. This was drinking very nicely tonight and complemented our meals perfectly - carne asada and pork carnitas.
Definite bricking in the glass.
Nose: Very complex - caramel, cedar, blackberry, strawberry, roses and violets.
The palate was smooth, medium weight and had a good balance of fruit (blackberry predominated) and soft tannins. The finish was very decent with good length.
QPR for a restaurant wine was unbeatable.
Would buy again.

Made from 100% Tempranillo (grown by contractors) this wine was aged in oak for 12 months. Light red in colour, this wine had a bit of a dodgy smell on the nose. The palate showed some fruitiness and lots of oak. I think the bottle I tasted was defective, so probably not representative as I found most of LAN's wine very good.
Tasted in the Grand Tasting at the 10th Decanter Fine Wine Encounter, Landmark Hotel, London.

Personal favorite Rioja - great body and flavor, deep ruby red in color, peppers and dark berries present. Great bottle for the price.

Drank a bottle at Kabob House with Melina and Bob. A little light, but pleasant.

Simple, but fruity, dry, and a good companion to food
