Dark red with a purplish hue, decanted for an hour and poured from decanter through evening. Nose of blueberry pie, eucalyptus, bay leaf, rosemary, burnt but sweet cherry. Palate rich, thick and strong. Blood, heavy syrupy blackberry, reduced plum sauce and raspberry. It's heavy. Needs five years at least to let the fruits mellow out and ripen.
87+, this will have a higher score in future, but right now it wasn't that approachable.

Felt quite thin and without depth on initial opening. It seems to develop a bit in the glass, but I'm letting an open mind about this one. Perhaps it needs a bit longer in the bottle.

Rich deep red/purple colour. Fresh red fruit on the nose. Soft and round mouthfeel with good acid on the finish. This a very reliable red style at a good price. Comfortable and dependable quality Barossa red.
