Cheap Burgundy (Dig Wines, San Francisco): Medium color. Rich fruit and toast on the nose. Medium weight, very woody. Buttered popcorn, zingy acidity. Very Mâcon style. Too oaky for me.

Pretty nice wine; nose of lemon peel, ripe pear, peach skin, hazelnut. The palate has nice richness and depth, but maintains a nice freshness with minimal wood influence. The finish is nice and overall this is quite pleasant.

Rather oaky. Overpaid for a village wine.

Sardines! Smells like a whole lotta wood on the nose to me. But that might be the transitition from the Chablis.
