It started to perform at its best within an hour and a half of opening. Bottle (magnum) in a state of grace, perhaps taken at its peak but still with several years ahead.

Our 2nd bottle of Miani and so far we’re just not getting it. Not sure if I should try the merlot or just sell it at this point. To us this was just all oak and alcohol. Really not enjoyable at all.

Deep gold in appearance. With a little air this immediately hits you with lychee, peach and almonds but none of the the oak that others have mentioned. On the palate this is beautifully rich and unctuous with stone fruit, almond and a touch of minerality. Both the nose and palate evolved in the glass with incredible complexity and a lengthy finish. This worked well with food but there is so much to appreciate by itself that I preferred the glasses I had by themselves. Stunning.
