  • Fruit, texture and balance. This has jumped right out the blocks.

Nose is a riot of red fruits with some souk spices coming through towards the end.

Taste. An initial wave of red fruit, glacé cherries, straw and raspberries. The fruit sits atop a glorious acid and tannin texture like a plumb cushion. Musk and spice enter in the mid palate to form a heady exotic mix, but the acid and ripe but not insubstantial tannin framework just keep it balanced.

This is great right now but definitely has the fruit/acid/tannin balance to last 10 years+.

  • Brooding dark red colour. Big rich red fruit nose. Silky smooth with a long soft dry red fruit finish. Very comfortable mouthfeel. Great match with lamb shanks.

  • Dark heavy red colour. Lovely fragrant red fruit perfumed nose. Spicy red fruit with a long dry, and somewhat chalky finish but with great mouthfeel. Young and fresh. Very enjoyable with roasted duck leg.
