As enjoyable as Les Bon Batons from Barthod. A mini Chambolle village for 1/2 the price (or 1/3 the price in my case). Crunchy cranberries with the floral notes of Chambolle. Was very impressed with this bottle considering the price. Glad I have a few more.

Slow oxed in burg glasses & btl 2hrs prior to dinner. A lovely luminous ruby tinted red color. Perfuse roses, berries & spice aromas. Such a pretty, high toned, lacy Chambolle like red. Energetic dark cherry, raspberry, spice, earth w/ penetrating minerality & emerging sous bois. 13% Alc. Last of 3. Wish I had 3 more. A great value for the $27 I paid.

Opened and slow oxed for 75 minutes prior to dinner in Riedel Burg glasses and btl. Semi translucent ruby red color. Perfuse floral notes, berries and spice on the nose. This has really come together and is drinking beautifully compared with my first btl 2-1/2 years ago. Now wishing I had at least 3 more as this has transformed into a poor man's village Chambolle. Energetic dark cherry, raspberry, spice, earth and excellent minerality with a lacy texture. Very 2015! 13% Alc. Ugly label, terrific Bourgogne for just $27. Said to be from 40yr old plots just below Chambolle.

Took some time to open up this. Initially a bit reduced and seemed a bit light with nice tart red and some darker fruits, was initially disappointed. After about an hour of being open, this opened up significantly and took on much more interest. Ended up as a nice red raspberry and darker cherry fruited simple but tasty, slightly tart red BR. Last glass by far the best, definitely give it a bit of air and serve cooler.

Very Good++. Give this air! The CT drinking window to 2021 is too short. Best the second night. Ref: CHABLIS28's Aug. 2021 TN.
