  • Fresh sample from J. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of fresh grilled meat, fresh stony earth, hot tarmac, pretty red cherries, emerging frsh leather. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5), soft dancing medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of superbly elegant nicely sweet pretty red cherries, stony minerally earth, light spices, red licorice silk, soft background of savoury meat and leather. Long lacy finish. Leaving a lasting feeling of red silkiness.
Outstanding quality. Holy smokes, the hype is real with regards to newer vintages from this domaine. Dangerously drinkable already.

  • Tasting at Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux (Vosne Romanee): Tasted from bottle. Impressive and forward already. Aromas jump from the glass with tremendous black cherry, asphalt and spice notes. Surprisingly open. Great concentration and well-proportioned. 93+ point potential (and close to that in a purely hedonistic sense today).
