The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, strawberry jam, plum and honeysuckle. It tastes like blackberry, raspberry and strawberry jam. The body is medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Decanted for 2 hours before serving with dinner. The nose has elements of forest, vineyard, and wine cellar. First sips had limited fruit, dark plum and bramble. Following was oak, cocoa, and a hint of vanilla. The tannins are noticeable and supple, leading to a long warm finish. Enjoyed with prime rib, potatoes au gratin, and mixed veggies. Definitely a food wine, but also enjoyed after dinner with great conversation. Drinking excellent now, and may keep for another 2 years.

Much improved with age medium to full bodied red, well balanced fruit with tanin, quite enjoyable. Cherry with raisin, a bit of forest floor. Medium complexity.

The wine was still holding up really nice. Has a decent amount of tannins still. All around really well balanced
