  Very different Turkey. Light in color. Earthy nose.
  Chocolate notes and good body
  Really good for our flavor profile

  42nd Annual Zinfandel Retrospective - the 2015s (R&D's): Blind. Aromas of earth, red and black fruit and dried herbs. Flavors of chocolate and ripe red berry fruit. The herb and chocolate qualities stand out more the longer this sits in the glass. (R&D)

  Less than positive experience with last tasting of this wine, so decided to put a rush on opening my remaining bottle. To my delight, showing much better this time around.
  
  Dried red fruit, blackberry compote, wet tobacco, chinese five spice, freshly turned soil.
  
  Palate has great balance. Plush tannins, medium acidity, alcohol in check when served near cellar temp.

  Fairly high tannins for zin, especially at 7 years old. Medium acidity. Peanut butter carries through to the palate, not unpleasant, just seems out of place?
  
  Not a “bad” bottle, but one of my least favorite experiences with Turley.
