Decanted and drank. At first it was pretty straightforward, nice restrained syrah but not the complexity i was hoping for. after an hour it really developed some great secondary flavors and more backbone.
Un nez de caramel, avec du fruit noir. La bouche est ronde à la texture suave, presque délicate, mais c'est vraiment boisé. L'aromatique est encore imprégnée du bois, il a sans doute besoin de quelques années pour intégrer tout ça. 89+
Decanted for 2 hours Colour:dark inky purple, thick. Some sediments in bottle Nose:black fruits, powerful, some mint notes Taste:silky beautiful tannins. Big mouth covering wine. Alcohol is well tamed. More black berries. Not jammy, beautiful fruit flavours.
Young but in a very delicious phase. Perhaps I could/should have waited but my wife and I had not trouble drinking this down quickly. Purple in color. The nose has black raspberries, slight bramble notes and spice. Juicy, rich texture. Loads of fruit and depth on the palate. Some might say new worldish I suppose but this is just ripe French Syrah and very good at that. Not a lot of value perhaps but not over priced either. Unfortunately, the bottle was drained quickly.
