Really delicious. Some savory mint, lemon and custard on the nose. Very fine and long on the e palate. Although the fella ours are a little understated. A wine to contemplate.

Saturday hangout (socially distanced) (Chicago, IL): Very 2015 and very Niellon. Quite a bit of breadth here from the vintage with yellow fruits and a whiff of oak on the nose. The palate is quite similar, and the oak does poke through some, though it is not obtrusive and will probably dissipate with more bottle age. The fruit is ripe, but adequately cut. Another bottle that should allay any concerns about the overripeness of 2015.

Previous notes apply, except that this bottle seemed to have even more of an uptick in verve and energy compared to the one I had four months ago. Elevated freshness and a lemon zest punch made for a fun and exciting wine this go-around. Decanting for a couple hours opened it up even more. Never lost its vigor throughout consumption. 94-95 points.

Candied lemon peel, ripe yellow citrus, lemon curd, white and yellow peach, pineapple rind, acacia, and wet limestone. A medium-plus front end gives way to an extremely balanced and exquisitely smooth depth and expansion of flavor, with the slightest reduction showing toward the finish.
This C-M maintains a focus from its subtle floral and mineral-inflected frame that keeps the core from becoming too sweet or heavy. Cuts a nice line between the warmer, riper elements of the vintage and the gentle tension of the terroir, offering a smooth concentration consistently through its profile that makes for a tasty and well thought-out execution. Ever so slightly veers toward the heady side of the track and less so on the overt punchy or electric side; just casually runs its finger along the third-rail without grabbing ahold of it. More of a controlled, medium vibrancy overall here. Drinks well already in its youth. Try again in 2021+. 94+ points.
