Burgundy color with some translucence. Nose red fruited with some earth. Palate earthy red fruit with profound minerality. More depth as it warms from cellar temp, and sits.

This seemed further along in its development than the 2014 I opened a few months ago. Red fruits, spice, and garrigue on opening. It was a little more disjointed showing notes of mature Pinot in a warm vintage, like autumn leaves and stewed red fruits. The tannins seemed softer and the wine fell apart sooner. Professionally stored since release. These two vintages in Oregon are so interesting to compare!

Seems to have come around somewhat, being noticeably lighter on its feet now compared to previous bottles (last bottle before this was back in November).

This is a marked departure from the last several vintages, coming off as dark-fruited and muddled even after two nights corked in the fridge. It may just need more time, but right now it reminds me more of California than Oregon.

Still fruit forward but more funk, wheat and fresh loam but still with good acids.
