No complexity, simple but drinkable. Not worth half the price tag. What I expected from regional wine, not what I expected with a Leroy label on it. Spend the same money on Village wine from good producers and skip the big name.

Having drunk a case of ‘15 over the last couple of years this is my first bottle of ‘14, which was released a year after the ‘15 due to the impression it is a superior wine. Dark, inky black robe. On nose and palate this is a dark behemoth of a wine, pungent mineralite frames black olive tapenade and masculine, meaty notes, hints of spice, whilst simultaneously weightless with imperceptible tannins. Though not tasted side by side from memory this certainly seams to have greater depth and complexity than the ‘15.

I really loved it. Second time i had this wine and it was just phenomenal. Not complex or heavily structured which is to be expected from a regional wine but just so much fun.
