In a strange place right now. Seemed closed and tight. It did open up after 2-3 hours however it never really opened up. Quite austere and rustic. I did get the same experience with the 2015 a few months back but that opened up glorious after 3 hours. This did not. I would suggest to wait another 3-5 years.

Currently its definitely partially closed. Given the price, I'd recommend holding on to it for 4-5 years. While it was a well made regional wine, knowing other vintgaes of this wine I am sure there is a lot more come. Be patient.

40th anniversary tasting (L'Esprit du Vin - Axelborg): My notes from this fantastic gigantic tasting are in general extremely short (because of the many wines) but with ratings. We spent a whole day tasting and tasting quality wines.
This wine: Extremely concentrated cherry, lots of rustic tannins. I wonder whether this wine is going to end as something I like. No matter what it needs many years in cellar!. Rating based on performance right now

Bright cherry notes, dried roses and strawberry leaves. Really good balance, tannins and acidity all in place. Medium finish. Enjoyable drink now, after a three hour decant. Should last for the next ten years.

Drank in Stockholm off a restaurant list. Popped and poured. Really started to open after an hour or two and showed great. Beautiful fruit and balance.
