Bright medium deep red. Massive lift of glazed red fruit. Brown spice and caramel. Balanced oak and fruit. Rich palate. Flesh. Bright. Slightly hollow mid palate. Plush tannin. Loads of structure. Balanced. Generous and ripe. Bold but not cultish.

Decanted through the vinturi for an hour. Similar in color to the 2013 with a dark ruby hue, soft nose of dark berries, vanilla and oak are noticeable in the taste, tannins are light, making this a good drinking wine now or for the next couple of years.

Dark purple; herbaceous, ripe grape (15.5 alc.), prune nose; fat; grapey; more like a Syrah; thick finish. BBQ/pasta wine.
