Very sweet with a motor oil like texture. Barely enough acidity to keep in check. Light amber color. This is great as a dessert on its own. Could only drink one glass.

Beautiful dark saffron caramel color. Lovely nose with medicinal overtones, apricots, pear, persimmon, Hydrangeas. Big juicy clover honey palate with an exceptionally long finish. Sauternes caliber.

This is one of the most rich, concentrated, and viscous Ojai LH Viogniers I've ever had. Gorgeous, honeyed nose, with explosive, focused flavors of crystalized sugar and lemon-lime. A sharp vein of acidity balances out the tremendous sweetness. Probably my favorite vintage so far, although some others seem to favor the more restrained 2004.

(at Bouchon – Santa Barbara) 375 ml. Deep golden and viscous. Very sweet but lacks a bit of personality and flavor. Good plus. (88)
