  • Needs a couple of hours open, and I reckon these lamb loin chops with truffle salt and rosemary have made this wine much better.

Opened a little one dimensional and boring.

    Give it 3 hours.

    Colour is pristine deep red.

Nose gives off cooling menthol, dusty oak, and some

On entry it sits medium to full. Plum, blackcurrant pastilles.

Middle gets a touch soapy, before transitioning to more herbal and savoury flavours like soy sauce.

Finish shows a little development, slight beef stock note with charry and rustic tannins. Time to drink up.

It’s ok to good. 3/5 for me, high bronze to low silver. I can see why Dans are trying to move it on in Oz.

The lamb on the other hand is 5/5. Smoking. I love spring lamb.

On day five, after being refrigerated in a half bottle, this wine was better again. Soft translucent black fruits, silky flow. It’s moved in to ‘good’ territory. 89.

  • Ripe, dark berries, acidic, medium almost lighter bodied. Some smoke but tannins are pretty flat and not much of a finish. It wasn’t bad, but pretty forgettable.

  • This is pretty average at best. Not a lot on offer here. Ripe and crisp with sharp red berry. Flat tannin and a short finish. Its ok but quite forgettable

  • Dark red, deep aroma, oak, long lasting taste. I would like to bay this once more = 4
