Community Tasting Notes (5) Avg Score: 91.7 points

  • Gorgeous nose: vosne-like spice, pepper, pure black cherry fruit, lifted fresh mint, subtle oak smoke, dried flowers (rose/violet?), becomes more cakey with air. Beautifully complex.
Lovely balance of richness and freshness on the palate, some apparent oak influence but nicely integrated and balanced. Pure sweet rich black cherry fruit. Lots of fine tannin and mouth-puckering acidity on the finish but all perfectly buffered. Delicious.
    Bravo!

  • Coravined. ABV 13.7%.
Mainly flower notes on the nose, fairly clean. Acidity is slightly volatile initially, spicy tannins on mid-palate, a touch warmth at backend. Barrel spices lingering at finish, very nice. Approachable now but will continue to evolve. Pretty good drink, a producer to follow and visit. As it sits in the glass, this continues to improve over one hour, probably deserves an upgrade in score.

  • Nose: From pop and pour, this shows a bit of lipstick and upfrontness. As it sits in the glass, it blossoms and takes on a more elegant take with plums, fruitcake, tart red cherries, vanilla beans, raspberries, smoke, licorice, crushed rocks, sassafras, and baking spices.

Taste: The feel is Full bodied with crisp, medium acidity and silky, medium tannins. There is good weight to the feel with plums, fruitcake, red cherries, raspberries, vanilla beans, licorice, crushed rocks, and baking spices. The structure is showing excellent balance and integration with a lovely plushness to the feel.

Overall: This is drinking beautifully right now and there is a lot to like. This is on the early side and while some development will happen, it can (and will) certainly age for another 5-8+ years.

  • The most polished of the Pinot Noirs tasted, though difficult to call it better. Appealing textures, weight, and balance.
