Complex nose of butterscotch, dried coconut, nuts and dried fruits. Elegant palate, light to medium bodied with a slight viscousness, a fine-boned but firm acid spine throughout, with flavours similar to the nose. Length and draw. Refreshing. Probably best to drink up, while the midpalate flavours remain in sufficient intensity to balance the acid spine. Can't get enough of these wonderful whites from LdH.
Needs hours to open and integrate. Very complex wine and drinking beautifully.
Gorgeous nose. Honey, baked apple, beeswax nose. Palate has lovely acidity and tons of freshness. Think peach and apricot with ginger and white florals. Finish shows tons of flinty minerality and green apple. Lovely wine. 93ish.

R. López de Heredia Tasting (Freiheit Vinothek, Ulm, Germany): Glass: Zalto Universal Tasted blind. Popped and poured. Clear, medium golden color. Fine, fresh nose, salty, herbaceous, some roasted nuts and spices. On the palate beautiful freshness, very clean, precise, juicy and young. Way lesser oxidative notes than the other Tondonias we had tonight. Same beautiful saltiness and gip. Long. So amazing to see, that the Crianza can keep up with the Tondonia Reserva. For me, the 2003 Reserva provided a bit more depth and complexity, but both were almost en par! 92-93

This wine was just made for the food we were having. Big and round and a bit oxidized and more of a caramel style. It's a white wine for a red wine drinker's palate. Nice.
