“27 month elevage” bottling. Consistent with prior note. Tasted this against 2017 normal elevage. This was rounder and more complex than the 2017 but maybe lacked some of the linear minerality of the 2017, which was quite piercing and drank young. Both were excellent.

“27 mois d’elevage” version. This was outstanding. A rich golden color with notes of sea breeze and orchard fruit on the nose. The palate was precise and open with wonderful white fruit and ripe citrus notes combined with a great mid-palate dry extract and mouth feel that gave the wine grip and density without weight. This combined ripe fruit notes from a warm vintage like 2015 with the tension and precision I associate with great chablis. Excellent bottle and drinking very well right now.

Servert blindt. Klar, strågul. Viser noe utvikling. Ingefær, sjø, sitron, urter, gule epler, litt tørket frukt, kalk. Fin syre i munnen, bra konsentrasjon med gule epler, sitron, urter, kritt. Flott kons. Viser litt varme og litt grønt. Tenker en varmere årgang med rask modning og produsent som har høstet tidlig. Tipper 2015 Chablis på 1er-nivå. Tipper Duplessis, Mont de Milieu. Bommet på vinmark. Fasit: 2015 Duplesis Montmains 89

Les Portes d'Or de la Bourgogne - Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne (William Fèvre's Vineyards - Chablis): Walkaround tasting with producers. Fully mature, good richness with plenty of earth. Fun now, good weight and length. Drink up.

I like it but just barely. Too soft and rounded, lacking cut and fullness. Big disappointment.
