Pale golden colour. Medium nose with yellow apples, lime, peaches, toast, minerals, salty sea and oysters. Medium taste of yellow apples, peaches, lime, toast, salty sea, oysters and minerals. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A great Chablis 1er Cru. Goes well with fish or shellfish.

Duplessis at Table, Donkey and Stick (Chicago, IL): Like the 2016 Clos, this had a bit of a ripe tropical character, but it never got to the point where the wine lost its focus. There's a little more acid here, in the sense that it's a little less ripe than the Clos. The relative step down in density and raw power is fairly apparent as well.

I rather like Duplessis and this is beginning to drink well, though better in a year or two I'd say.
