Beautiful nose of fruit and rose petals. Palate redolent with sweet fruit and licorice. Tannins are mostly tamed. This wine could use a little more acidity to provide focus, but returning to the big picture, this is an excellent wine, true to it's terroir.

Limpid ruby red with slight bricking. Classic aromas of tobacco, leather, dark reddish black berries and balsam. Medium bodied palate shows a savory edge with spicy berries, hint of brown sauce, medium acidity, hint of oak and drying tannins and a long balsamic perfumed finish.

Opened at restaurant. Ruby red with very slight browning on the edges. Beautiful red fruit nose. Very closed upon opening, but by the time the main course arrived, it started to reveal itself. Medium body, soft tannins, with a medium-length finish. Nice bottle.

Over the hill. That is 3 for 3 with 2004 Sottimano barbaresco wines that are oxidized. The cotta, Correa, and now this one.
So disappointing. Many dollars wasted. These wines should have made 15 years. May have already been advanced aged from poor storage at the store.
