  I purchased a mixed case at the winery in 2017 and this is the last bottle of the Chianti Rùfina 'normale' that I bought.
  
  As often the last bottle is the best. Right now the wine is in that perfect spot between vibrant youthful fruit and earthy, savory tertiary aromas. The tannins has melted into a smoother texture, the acidity is still bright and sappy and the aromas is more complex and intriguing. Worked just as well with our Saltimbocca as on it's own. Impressive delivery for the modest 10 euros invested.
  
  Drink now trough 2024.

  Truth in advertising, this was lovely and open for biz 3+ hrs after decanting, black cherries, ample licorice, and rustic herbs sang nicely with a couple pizzas. Don't overthink it, and drink for next 1 - 2 years, Saluti!!

  From a top Chianti subzone, it may include some Canaiolo, Colorino and Malvasia Nera. Med (-) garnet. Delightful med (+), aromas of plum sauce, raspberry coulis, balsamic, dried porcini, dried roses and a hint of oak spice. Dry, with generous sweet and sour fruit, med (+) acidity, med to med (+) resolved tannins and med (+) alcohol (13.5%). Med (+) body, flavor intensity and length. Wonderfully balanced, elegant and clean, it drinks like a well-aged Pinot Noir. Delicious now, after a couple more years of aging, it still has a couple of years left to go. Insane QPR.
