Popped and poured, rich syrah wine. Nice nose, pepper, deep purple color. After 2 hours of watching football, it was starting to lose some of that star power it had when opened. I would say drink up, it is very good.

TWATS XI (Mortons Steak House - Hong Kong, Kowloon): Young, dark, alcho, deep and tannic. Virgin licorice, black fruit, tarrish. This looks thick, and is terribly stout. Bosh says short life. That is my note so he must have been there...

14.8% alcohol. Initially, very ripe and oaky on the nose. With air, that profile blew off to reveal a really terrific example of ripe Cabernet Franc. True expression of the varietal, with plenty of leafy tobacco notes to go with the bold and rich black fruit. Solid acidity and a strong finish with smooth tannins. Really wonderful stuff here. A-/A
