The cork was crumbled, but the juice perfect. This is why I bought these years ago. Cheyanne WY Chop House. CS color is there in display, looks young. Orange blossoms and candy nose. Beautiful floral notes.
So juicy, delicious wine. Still young, tannins balanced w the fruit, acids klight but still food friendly.

From magnum; no decant. Fragrant nose of red fruit and pipe tobacco. Juicy red fruit on the palate, very fresh and alive. A truly delicious wine. Paired with rib-eye and baked potatoes.

Decanted for an hour. This is a really beautiful wine with a huge nose of cassis, spices and tobacco. What struck me was that the palate and nose was extremely balanced and resolved for a californian wine. There were no sharp or undesirable bits sticking out. The mouthfeel was lush and alluring with silky red, blue and black fruits dominating. The finish was pretty long and lingering. A very good example of the best Napa can offer and what more wines should strive to be. Wish I had more.

Beautiful bottle; easily the WOTN. I could drink this any time if it weren't so costly: I purchased five bottles and one magnum at auction for about half of retail, and even then it's more than I like to spend, but what a great buy it was! Lovely balance, perfectly integrated tannins, stellar blend.

This stuff is so good to drink. See previous notes. I feel lucky to have scored some, especially at a discounted auction price, as a Benjamin is pretty much my upper limit for a 750 ml and these generally exceed it.
