Interesting to taste this next to 2012 Meyer-Näkel Sonnenberg GG and 2014 Fürst Schlossberg GG. Very different on both nose and palate. Smokey, spicy, darker and more mineral and a little disjointed at times. Very tannic and restrained on the palate. Powerful, good acidity, very long. Needs time. 92-93(+?)

Markus Molitor vintage presentation (Haus Klosterberg, Molitor estate, Wehlen): *** Brief notes for my records, based on just a tasting pour – no rating *** Glass: Zalto Universal Finest and most chiseled nose of all Pinots today, maybe a bit too “German”. Veery elegant, pressure and tension, needs a lot of time (5-7+ years) to drink. PQR questionable. 91 with potential to 93++

Similar the previous tasting note. Spicy, smoky, mineral with lots of structure and acidity. Needs time. 92-93+

5/30/2019 - Ms. Bubblehead Does not like this wine:
Unfortunately this was not very good. Felt very one dimensional, smokey and disjointed and a hint of plastic.
