  Quite pale and bit muted to start. Served cool. This really blossomed over 3 hours or so. Super balance and persistence. Really complex with ever changing notes of undergrowth, smoke, cherry, spice, Christmas cake and more. A real delight. Worked well with a creamy pasta & bacon dish too.

  The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, cranberry and fig. It tastes like blackberry, cranberry, stoniness and cinnamon. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

  Nose is textbook brunello with kirsch and cherry. Good acidity in mouth but falls short. Maybe the vintage is to blame. Usually a go to low price brunello for me.
