Decanted for 30 min. Tasted as expected, nice Rhone. I like the cold peppery taste mixed with intense dark berries. Did however turn jammy on day 2. The sharpness disappeared so this is something you drink and empty same evening.

Marron noir foncé. Du sérieux au nez...... intense et complexe avec bcp de nuances. Fruits, figues. Bouche intense et confituré: fruits murs, figues. Gouleyant. Explosion de fruits savoureux.

Tour de Rhone (United Cellars, 140 William Street, Sydney): Gamey, meaty and plenty of black pepper spice, initially...almost a touch of reductiveness...needs time to open up I think so swirl swirl swirl, with agitation the spice notes increase and some jubey red fruits starts to show; all rich and ripe and warm and tempting but also positively pretty - not overdone. In the mouth it's rich though juicy, more savoury than I expected but still with that pretty red berry; almost strawberry, plenty of tannic grip that is floury textured, a little herbal notes and a little sweet spice. Powerful, young, with time the nose gets very strawberries and berry lozenge which does translate to the palate as well with a savoury underpin...yeah, pretty handy.

15/20 ce CdR se la joue Nouveau Monde avec une attaque sucrée aux saveurs cuites. Une tentative pour sédure les dégustateurs de type B sans doute...... Il manque de finesse, de complexité....

The wine looks purple colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry and raspberry. It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis), gooseberry, medium toast and vanilla. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.
