Fresh red fruits, toast, vanilla, prune, oak and rose petal hints on the nose. Strawberry, cherry and blackberry forward in the mouth, pushing some lovely texture and earthy energy into the fold. Splendidly balanced with a nice medium body, velvet tannins and integrated acids. A nice peppercorn accented spice and yogurt smack on the long finish holds the ripe and bright notes on the hind flanks of the palate in lovely fashion. Bucolic yet keen to unfurl new highlights through the evening, this is some fantastic stuff.

Like its white sibling, this is not from inside CdP. 60% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre.
Some spice and black pepper. Strong gun flint on the nose. Red and black fruit with dark chocolate. Simple but very accessible. Tannins are mild and restrained. Medium finish.
This would be such a crowdpleaser wine and would go with most food. Very enjoyable to drink (I finished my glass very quickly) and good value for money at 15 quid equivalent.
