Oak is now well integrated. Still has some nice dark berry fruit. Enjoyable now vs. some of the older notes I read through. Maybe it just needed some time. Last bottle of this one.

Medium dark red. Hugely expressive right out of the gate with toasty oak predominating. Sweet and meaty but plenty bright. This has an oaky streak that's hard to get around.

I think that this may be my first Ribera del Duero wine. The color was an intense, dark, red. There was minimal aroma. Oak predominated. It seem to have been aged in lot of new Oak and at present the flavor of oak overwhelmed the fruit. It was not unpleasant but certainly not to my taste. It was hard to isolate the characteristics of the fruit. I think I will let my other bottle sit for a year or two.

It was tired and without fruit - almost like a amarone. And that was not what I wanted.....
