Ruby coloured, dark fruit on the nose with hints of spice. Medium bodied with a hint of tannin and a bit of acid giving the fruit a pleasant tartness towards the back end of the wine. The wine is fruit forward, dark fruits like plum and cherries with hints of nutmeg and cloves. A bit of the oak treatment shows through in the finish with a hint of vanilla.

Clear, deep and ruby in appearance. Blueberry, liquorice, clove and violets, with predominate secondary notes of vanilla coming from the French oak with a little nutmeg. Decent finish. I was sceptical at first but this really integrated and balanced out after a couple hours open, but I don't feel it has the acid to carry it past the medium term. Drink over the next 3 years.

GMs - Casual Fridays September 2017: Blind. Pretty style - floral lift, violets, roses - citrus, spice and raspberry with licorice as well. Soft and round fruit, there is fine tannin weaved into the background. Good length. Not sure if it will improve with time but I wouldn't be surprised.

Well made wine. Only complaint is that it is overtly salty, like many Barossa wines. Mataro has settled well. Good to go now.

Black fruits, jubiness, herbs, spice, black pepper and liquorice savouriness. Lick of tannin. Excellent balance and length.
