Wonderful classic california cab. Dark fruit--blackberies cassis with great complexity--waves of coffee, mocha, earth, lioght spices, bit of smoke with excellent balance. Lots of fruit, exseciilly given its age, but not a fruit bomb, compleixty+ Would have been even higher rating, but the finish was not particularly long--quite adequate though. Wish I had more!! i would say drink now ... opens slowly; suggest 3 hours decant

Gave the bottle one hour of air before pouring. Loads of fruit on the nose. This is my first experience with Mt. Veeder fruit and it definitely has star power. Similarly fruit forward on the palate and matched by a nice level of savoriness. Medium- acidity and very firm but refined tannins. Over the course of several hours some tobacco notes developed and eventually an attractive smokiness emerged that I particularly liked. Wish we had more but, alas, only had this one bottle.

Nice cab now. Big, deep and long with good flavors and tannins in balance. Best on third night under pump, so still lots of time to get better.

In a bit of a funk when opened, but blew off after an hour and still showed plenty of mountain fruit with good acidity.
