Two weeks in France; 4/12/2024-4/24/2024: Lucky to take the last bottle of this at Bistro Volnay for 175€. Similar to the ‘17 Chaignots last week - started off dense and a little rustic, but with time the silky structure emerged. More refined than NSG but would benefit from more time.

Opened at Cheval Blanc in Courchevel. P&P and enjoyed over dinner and afterwards.
This bottle confirms that I prefer the Domaine's Vosnes over their NSGs. Refined and clean. Not quite as light on its feet as I had hoped, and it had more of a dark fruit core than I expected, but still a good wine and very enjoyable. Slightly overshadowed by the Lamy-Caillat next to it, but then most wines would be.
Will keep at this level for a while, and probably soften up a bit. Would be keen to revisit in 3-5 years, potential to rise up by one point.

Gorgeous and flowery village wine with red fruit and Vosne spice. Good weight and complexity.

Cecile Tremblay & Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Dinner (ZEA Taipei): Similar to the 18 version of this wine, but much more complete and ready.

Green and herbal on the front with ample, albeit dark, Vosne spice. Solid wine. 93
