  • Wellfleet Dinner (The Fish Guy Market - Chicago, IL): Savoury nose with a bready profile on the palate. Lacks sufficient acid freshness and fruit intensity.

  • Light color with a faint aroma of fruit. A little sour on the palete and showing little complexity. Pass.

  • Friday, October 11, 2002 With BBH and DDB when PHH and BHH visiting. After SCC wine dinner with Robert Harllee and really didn’t need it.
Thursday, November 07, 2002 I don’t know what it is about this wine, but I prefer the NV cuvee royale to the ’95 vintage. Something about the finish of the wine that isn’t quite right. Otherwise this a leesy, buscuity wine with good body and mouthfeel. With various cheeses and crusty bread.
Thursday, November 07, 2002 gift to James Mayson for representing DDB on her speeding ticket
Saturday, December 21, 2002 Gift to Don Wilson for his 60th birthday (Surprise party at the Club.)
Tuesday, December 31, 2002 The darkest of the three. I’ve had this multiple times and each time it’s the appearance and color invite me in, but once there, I’m disappointed. This tastes like a beefed up sparkling apple cider. Served as mamosia making base on New Year’s Day. (12%) With repast of various hors d’oeuvres of smoked salmon, ham and assorted cheeses.
Tuesday, February 14, 2006 missing. don’t know when or where, but missing for a year or more.
