Either way too young or just a very acidic and green wine. Regardless, the fruit battles the angular nature of the wine. Hesitating for finish the bottle. Life is too short.

By the glass. More concentration and power. Timid notes of fruit covered by a wall of firmness. Corset of a firm structure receives you in mouth with little acidity and another tannic wall. In short, where was the concept of terroir? where elegance? Trying to imitate a bottle of Sassicaia has a high price: mediocrity and loss of identity. Because this front label ... belongs to La Spinetta group?

Picked this up from Enoteca Corsi - not having tried a bottle with a meal in some years (i.e. recent impressions have been at trade tastings, only). Kind of expected then that this youngster continues a tradition of good value; it remains in the tradition that it requires some years after release, for my palate, before it's opened/complete, having moved beyond a simple, but easily enjoyable table wine. Not so many people, I think, are willing to lay a $20 bottle down for 3-4 years, but my experience with this bottling is that it proves worth the effort. Medium-bodied, semi-fine tannins, with med(-) complexity and length at this stage. Red-fruited, with a pinch of citrus to accent a nice foundation of soil, and red/purple flowers. A good partner to dinner, but I think I'll be waiting a few years before trying this again. 14,0% abv.; better with 60 minutes of air. Drink thru 2026; it's got enough structure to get there. recommended+

This is a favorite everyday wine. This year is great. Full body good structure and yummy thick black fruit, wood and tobacco.
