  We drank this as the first bottle with maiale al latte. Dusty violets, rich dark berries, dried herbs, grilled pepper notes, and a strong leather strop of a finish. This should have decanted longer, nonetheless, it held up very well to the meal. Wish I had another laying down in the cellar to try in another couple years, but alas.

  Aromas of violet, thyme, mint, plum, brown sugar, smoke, raspberry, and bark.
  
  The palate was the same with some chalky tannins and medium acidity. Hour of decanting and the tannins soften up and this became a very juicy wine with a hint of pepper at the end. Very food friendly and sipping wine

  Delicious cherry and plum, cedar ,tannins still zippy after 48 hours. Nice bit of power. No fruit bombs here, thankfully. A lovely wine.
