Sunday supper (McLeay Street Bistro, Potts Point): After my last Coravin tasting of this I thought it would be a delightful accompaniment to pate and steak tartare for an early supper...Savoury, slightly meaty on the nose with pretty cherry underpin and black cherry. touches of sweet spice and cream as well. In the mouth it's juicy, savoury, silky tannins are a little drying, black cherry fruit. this is charming and with the savoury note an excellent match to the food.

Festival of Phil (Phil's place, Putney, Sydney): From Coravin. Quit a rich nose with dark cherry, sweet spice, pretty, polished. Juicy, fleshy, savoury, cherry, equally polished on the palate. Nice.

From Coravin. Toast, cherry and berry, a little sweet spice and a touch of jubiness with some smoked bacon fat. With time some candy floss as well. Engaging on the palate as well, more fleshy than juicy, fruit to the fore. Friendly, relaxing. nice.

From Coravin. A little stalks, minerality, black cherry, a touch of spice and some jubey elements. Medium plus intensity acidity, black cherry again, softly textured tannins but feels like it needs more time just to 'flesh out'

Coravin fun - Burgundy selection, Talbot bracket and supper wine (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Meaty, black hued fruits supported by spice and jubey black cherry notes. Juicy, savoury, palate a reflection of the nose with a little peppery bitterness to the finish which lends interest. Nice.
