Thirty minutes in the glass before tasting. Very deep hazy ruby magenta color. Raspberry, roast beef, mushroom, and brown sugar. Very dry, smooth palate. Firm, lower intensity tannins on the medium finish. 40% Mourvèdre, 34% Grenache, 26% Syrah
This seemed off/reduced. The finish was surprisingly weak and the nose was diminutive. Assuming this is an off bottle and/or low point in this wine’s development.
14.7% abv, 40 Mourvèdre, 34 Grenache, 26 Syrah. Light plum/garnet color, pink rim. Viscous with faint red tears. High alc not overpowering or distracting, noticeable tannins on front of teeth and high in cheeks. Red, blue, purple fruit, grape jelly-like sweetness, floral, sandalwood. Syrah traits are waaay in the background - the Mourvèdre and Grenache dominate. This is an elegant GSM, med plus weight and unctuous in mouth, but not heavy, long finish. This bottle opened up nicely after 1 hour.

45 min decant. Mourvedre dominated GSM blend. Deep opaque purple. Nose and taste of smoke, necco wafer, licorice, blackberry and raspberry. Finishes dry and with a tangy medium plus acidity. Lots going on and coming together well. Full bodied. About 92.

Multi hour decant. Clearly GSM, with the fruit showing the high percentage Mourvèdre. Much more approachable than previous bottles. Almost entering the start of its prime drinking window.

Night two notes. Red and black fruits and eucayptus on the nose. Tart red fruits like strawberries and cherries, briar and graphite flavors. Long finish. Really nice wine. Keplinger Lithic is always a hit.
