From magnum, Nose of sweet bell pepper, anise, plum, cherry tomato. One the palate, it’s still plump, but with a nice acidic backbone. Finish is soft but not dead. Very happy to have tried this piece of Washington history.

P: LM body; LOVELY, almost swtish frt beautifully balanced by an acidity which pushes the action into & through the very LONG, BALANCED, finish with a tangy/swtness to the SCANT remaining very, VERY fine tannins. For now & EASILY making its 30th! My Exceptional-/full Exceptional. 95 pts WS & 91 WA.
Once this was unveiled there was genuine surprise as to how WELL it had aged!

Once again the cork broke in half in spite of much care for removal. Nonetheless, the wine was excellent, even without decanting. I see no reason to hold this vintage and recommend drinking now.

Medium garnet-red. Fairly oxidized nose. Sourly-styled oak sticking out, pretty much uninteresting yet drinkable, providing the barest levels of wine enjoyment.

The cork was good on this bottle but broke in half on removal. The wine was double decanted for a couple hours in advance of drinking. The wine was in good condition and very pleasant to drink; medium-bodied, with ripe fruit, a fair amount of oak aroma, and a dark color with a hint of bricking. I am not sure there is any reason to hold this vintage longer other than for experimental purposes.
