Light ruby color. Very inspiring nose with roses, cherries - very bright. Excellent acidity, then licorice, bright cherries, pomegranate even, fresh yet with grippy tannins - this is still a baby! The ending is medium long, with a balanced oaky feel to it. I really liked this wine - I opened the bottle and let it breathe without decanting for a couple of hours. It's approachable now but this should age well for a decade or more. Typical Barolo, more on the modern side but absolutely not an oak bomb. I will seek out more.

Bought a half case of this at auction as part of my nebb experiment.
Popped and decanted. wine tasted about 90 minutes after opening.
Wine is turbid, bricked crimson. Not bright. Rim is not totally clear.
On nose, roses, earth, cherry, licorice, and a touch of barnyard.
On palate, wine is sound. Still a few degrees too cold at tasting (sorry - doing my best here). Medium-high acid, dry, still some grippy tannins, medium finish, roses really come across.
This is a nice wine but it's definitely a bit rustic and I do think it needs more time. I'd say the next bottle should be 2025 at the earliest.

Drank May 2023. Still too young with many tanines for my taste. Wait a few years.
