  Two hour decant, the nose stands out above the palate, with dark fruit and oak obvious. The palate has something of a biting undertone that I could not quite place and did not much enjoy, however when paired with food this went away. Bigger bodied with a fairly smooth mouthfeel.

  Deep purple. Very perfumed nose with strong vanilla blondie aromas along with some very dark berries and a hint of potpourri. Medium bodied with strong grippy tannins and low acid. Flavors of dark chocolate on the front with lots of spice mid-palate along with some cigar flavors. Nice weeknight sipper.
