  • Crushed rock, cooked oatmill, lemon zest, white pepper. Definitely more body than the regular St. Claire, crisp and minerally driven. Green apple and lemon in the mid. Tangy finish.

  • Pulled and poured after chilling in the normal fridge. The first impression is good - nice fruitiness and chalk on the nose and the palate, with a good level of acidity to balance it, and a moderate length finish.

But this is a wine that needs to be kept cool - as it warmed to around cellar temperature the balance was awry - the acidity overwhelming the fruit. Keep it in an ice bucket or a fridge!
