Intoxicating nose of dried spices, candied cherries drenched in liquor, and well integrated oak. Complex and evolving on the palate is this wine, with a long finish and a long life ahead

Very good Rioja. Dense, oak laced dark fruit, high toned acidity balanced by very polished tannins, savoury sous bois and a hint of damp earth, leather, spice, and tremendous length, lasting some minutes. The flavour is layered, complex and changes throughout.

Just a lot of new oak on this. Felt like chewing splinters at times. Lots of the vanilla and all of that. For some in our group it was the preferred wine, but for me just needs a lot more time for everything to integrate.

At the winery. Floral, seductive dark berries, rich nose. Richer and denser than Prado Enea. Long and slightly warm finish. Modern and hard to pin down as Rioja. Nevertheless a very good wine
