Perrot Minot Chambertin & Clos de Beze dinner: (A) Slightly funky notes to be begin with. Opens up nicely to show meaty notes along with red cherries, earth, spices and tea leaves. The palate was clean, smooth and soft with great concentration and minerality. An abundance of racy red fruit offered a good lift and sappiness to the wine. The finish was lingering. Not sure how this '16 would age, but it was drinking beautifully and my wine of the night.

Annual Roi Chambertin tasting: 2016 Gevreys from village to grand cru (Espace Chambertin, Bourgogne): Truly gorgeous, opulent yet structured. One of the top wines of the tasting.
